A Few Words About Us
Here at Harrington Equine Hospital, we strive to provide the best medical care for horses
while giving the horse owner an informative, comforting interaction. We pride ourselves
on giving our clients a great service at a great price while practicing cutting edge
medicine. Our hope is to positively affect the equine community through education,

Jud Easterwood, DVM
Dr. Jud Easterwood, owner of Harrington Equine Hospital, was born and raised in
Alexander City, Alabama, home of the beautiful Lake Martin. He did his undergraduate
studies and received his DVM from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.
After graduating, Dr. Easterwood worked at Dixie Equine Hospital in Madison,
Mississippi for Dr. Donnie Vice. While he was there, he was able to gain valuable
experience in many fields, including colic surgery, reproduction, general internal
medicine and lameness diagnosis and treatments.
When the opportunity presented itself, Dr. Easterwood purchased Harrington
Equine Hospital in Pelham, Alabama from Drs. David and Diane Harrington.
His equine interests include surgery, reproduction, and lameness. He enjoys
spending his free time with his family, fishing, hunting and watching Auburn
football. Dr. Easterwood and his wife, Audrey, reside in Alabaster with their son.
Beverly Austin
Beverly is the Office Manager at Harrington Equine Hospital. She has been the face
and voice of HEH for over twenty years. Beverly handles the day to day activities
in the front office, billing, purchasing, assists in the lab, and helps out
anywhere else needed. She is dedicated to insure the day to day functioning of
the hospital and is very helpful to our clients with their equine needs.
Alvaro
Alvaro has been working at Harrington Equine Hospital for seven years,
which has given him a vast amount of equine technician experience.
He enjoys everything about his work, but especially likes assisting
in surgery.
Luis
Four years ago, Luis joined Harrington Equine Hospital and has
developed a passion for working with horses. Luis feels checking
on horses throughout the day and keeping the doctors aware of
any changes is pertinent to successful equine medical care.
